Established in 1996, Flock Image Company Ltd is a leading provider of Epoxy Resin flooring in Malta. With a strong reputation for quality and reliability, Flock Image has floored numerous industrial spaces across various industries.
The company collaborates with authorities, architects, engineers, contractors, and clients on both new and existing projects, offering expert advice, tailored solutions, and professional services to applicators, contractors, and DIY enthusiasts.
Flock Image also specializes in liquid membranes, including its successful Acrylic-based Acrylflex formula and a cement-based alternative. Recently, the company has expanded into outdoor flooring, offering non-slip, decorative solutions. Our focus on value for money and meticulous surface preparation ensures durable and effective flooring and waterproofing solutions.

This involved putting Peran STB used on a moulded surface with an expanded polystyrene backing which gave us an insulated wall panel with an extremely hardwearing and decorative surface.
Our Founders
Nick Atkinson
Founder & Technical Director
Nick’s experience ranges from hands-on technical experience to production and sales. He worked within the fiberglass industry for a number of years in the UK and was involved in boat and wind energy blade production, high-tech carbon fiber and Kevlar vacuum forming as well as window installations with Anglian windows UK and sales with Cotswold Conservatories.
Nick came to Malta in 1993 for a long holiday and ended up making Malta his home. He became interested in other industries in Malta, mainly the production of polystyrene and the installation of prefabricated cold rooms, which were new to Malta at the time. Later on, Nick introduced liquid waterproofing to the Maltese market when liquid membrane was unheard of on the islands. He developed Flock Image’s own liquid waterproofing system under the name of “Acrylflex” forming part of Flock Image’s “AlasTomeriK” waterproofing range.
For the past 3 decades, Nick managed to get Flock Image involved in numerous prestigious projects using Acrylflex Liquid Membrane, amongst which there is the Domes at St James Cavalier (2000), the Dome of the San Gorg Preca Church in Blata l-Bajda (2001), various waterproofing works to Xaghra Church in Gozo, as well as the roof of the Wasteserv recycling plant in Tal-Kus, Gozo.
Following the success of the “Acrylflex” system, Nick diversified Flock Image’s portfolio into “Liquid flooring” by introducing seamless epoxy resin flooring. Driven by the need for a robust yet budget friendly flooring system, Nick developed yet another product custom-made for the maltese market – our very own “Hammerflow epoxy resin system”.
This by far has been the most successful resin flooring system installed by Flock Image in Malta and has floored numerous hangars at Malta’s Aviation Park including floors for Lufthansa Technik and SR Technic. Hammerflow has also been installed at factories including Methode Electronics, ST Microelectronics, De La Rue, Seifert and Toly Products, as well as car parks for Toly Products and The AX Odycy amongst others.
Nick is the driving force of Flock Image. His unwavering dedication towards meeting
customers’ needs with tailor-made solutions while maintaining high standards of quality and
service has definitely resulted in Flock Image’s success.
Sylvana Atkinson
Founder & Director
Since setting up Flock Image with Nick Atkinson in 1996, Sylvana has always handled the Administration and Financial side of the business. Having a background in accounting and business management through her previou work experience coupled with hard work and commitment to achieve better things, together with Nick, Sylvana has shaped and grown Flock Image into what it is today.
Prior to starting Flock Image, Sylvana worked hands-on in the setting up of a polystyrene manufacturing plant, followed by experience working in the banking sector and finally a position at a leading Language School in Malta. When, by that time, husband Nick, was starting to embark on setting up supplying liquid membranes and resin floorings to the Maltese market, Sylvana saw it as the obvious path to put her skills to use and make Flock Image a success.
Managing a young business, while simultaneously starting a family was not an easy task, but looking back it has been an excellent achievement. Flock Image has successfully managed to put its name on many prestigious projects on the island.
Sylvana’s eye for operational excellence and continuous support for Flock Image’s endevours, have made this company a success. Ensuring that Flock Image always offers reliable products and a customer orientated service.
