Scope of work

To surface newly built car park using an epoxy resin system to avoid concrete dust and have an easy to clean and aesthetically pleasing surface

Challenge

Flock Image was instructed by AX Group to lay a durable resin flooring for the newly constructed hotel’s car park. The floor will be subject to heavy vehicle traffic. The existing substrate was concrete which although new already had heavy dusting. AX Group wanted an aesthetically pleasing resin flooring system that would address this and prevent future issues.

Solution

Hammerflow resin flooring was deemed to be the solution for this carpark. This system has been widely used on the Maltese islands for the past 20 years.

Hammerflow is a budget friendly, hard wearing epoxy resin system which is also aesthetically pleasing and highly chemical resistant including resistance to Skydrol. Hammerflow resin flooring is safe for foot, vehicular and heavy-load traffic, durable, easy to clean and maintain, and structurally sound.

A version of Hammerflow, Hammerflow Mk3, was installed. Mk3 has a greater thickness in the body, giving it a higher slip resistance and durability.
The new resin floor is safe for both foot and vehicular traffic, durable, easy to clean and maintain, structurally sound.
