Challenge

Flock Image was asked to waterproof the roof the this Lapsi reserviour which was already covered with torch-welded membrane but was leaking.

Solution

A combination of Sirrender waterproof wall coating and waterproofing joint tape was used for this purpose to provide an affordable and cost effective waterproofing solution. The main defect of torch-welded membrane is the joints. If the joints delaminate, water ingress will result. Hence, following cleaning of the entire roof, Flock Image treated the joints successfully with our Sirrender waterproof Wall Coating membrane and PH127 waterproofing joint tape.

Sirrender is a liquid applied, water-based and rubber crumb paint system which has been formulated to provide a water and weather-proof, elastomeric, tough flexible membrane. A durable waterproofing solution suitable to be applied onto limestone, concrete and other building materials.

Waterproofing Joint tape is a waterproof sealing band that is used at wall/floor junctions to protect the most critical area of the waterproofing application. Consisting of a unique grade of rubber, the Elastic Joint Band provides a rupture resistant seal that accommodates expected movement between the abutments of different surfaces. Also performs as the bond breaker for the waterproofing system.
